Andrea Christmas is a dedicated, passionate, and highly experienced Physiotherapist with more than 15 years of clinical experience. She has dedicated her career to delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care, with extensive experience in trauma, burns, and critical care physiotherapy. Andrea graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2008 and completed her community service at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, where her passion for critical care physiotherapy was first ignited. Following completion of Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy (CPT1), she further developed her expertise at Netcare Milpark Hospital Level 1 Trauma Centre, where she has been practicing since 2010. Over the years, she has developed advanced skills in the management of complex trauma cases and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. As a Director and Clinical Lead within the Moira Wilson Physiotherapy Practice, Andrea provides strategic leadership and clinical oversight, driving excellence in patient care while fostering the professional development of the team. Her leadership is focused on maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice and delivering patient-centred care. Andrea is passionate about education and mentorship and is dedicated to supporting the growth of future healthcare professionals. She has supervised third- and fourth-year physiotherapy students from the University of the Witwatersrand and actively mentors colleagues within her team, encouraging continuous learning and professional development. Her work reflects an unwavering commitment to advancing evidence-based practice and improving patient outcomes through research, clinical excellence, innovation, and lifelong learning.
